In a statement shared on Monday, Chivayo said the gesture was driven by admiration for the leadership of Mutumwa Nimrod Taguta, head of the Johanne Marange African Apostolic Church, and Bishop Manhango of the Betsaida Apostolic Church.
He linked his message to Africa Day, describing it as a moment of unity, reflection and honour within faith communities that trace their roots to early Apostolic movements in Zimbabwe.
“For a long time, I have carried a deep desire to extend a gesture of honour and respect to a brother in our Apostolic faith, whose journey I have followed with great admiration,” he said.
Chivayo recalled his earlier connection with the Marange church through a visit to Marange years ago, where he said he was blessed by the late Mutumwa Noah Taguta, describing the encounter as spiritually significant.
He added that he has followed the leadership transition within the church and expressed respect for the continuity of its spiritual direction under Mutumwa Nimrod Taguta.
“Though we may stand in different denominations, we are led by the same Holy Spirit,” Chivayo said, emphasising unity among Apostolic sects including Johanne Marange and Johanne Masowe.
As part of the gesture, Chivayo said he would gift Mutumwa Nimrod Taguta a 2026 Land Rover Defender valued at US$260,000, along with US$250,000 in cash intended for fuel and upkeep to support church activities. He said the handover would be arranged at a later date.

He also extended appreciation to Bishop Manhango, praising his contribution to the growth of the Apostolic faith and his leadership within the Betsaida Apostolic Church.
Chivayo said Bishop Manhango would receive a 2026 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado valued at US$160,000, along with US$100,000 in cash as a token of appreciation for his service.

He described both leaders as part of a shared spiritual tradition symbolised by the white garment movement, despite belonging to different denominations.
“May the Lord continue to strengthen and grant you wisdom and grace required to guide His people in truth, faith and righteousness,” he said.
The businessman often uses public statements tied to religious and national events to highlight philanthropy and cultural identity, drawing both praise and debate online.
The announcement comes as Africa Day is marked across the continent under the theme of unity, development and African identity.
Chivayo’s latest gesture is likely to reignite discussion around wealth, faith leadership and philanthropy in Zimbabwe’s religious landscape, where church influence continues to intersect with public life and business.
