Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell Chivayo has bought a luxury US$250,000 team bus for Dynamos FC, while also donating a Toyota Fortuner to club owner Bernard “Mariot” Lusengo and pledging US$50,000 in cash bonuses for players.

The announcement is a follow up on the pledge he made recently after some Dembare fan made a public plea to the polarising businessman.

Unlike earlier public promises that lacked detail, Chivayo attached documentation showing specifications and pricing for the luxury coach already secured for the Glamour Boys, although delivery is still pending.
The bus is a Marcopolo Paradiso 1350 G8 luxury coach valued at US$250,000 before delivery and registration costs.
According to the attached specifications, the coach features 60 executive memory foam seats fitted with seat belts, a full entertainment system with DVD and PA functionality, USB charging ports, tinted windows, air conditioning, fridge facilities, a rear toilet, and a driver sleeping compartment.
The luxury coach is also expected to carry customised Dynamos branding and decals.

Chivayo said club owner Bernard Lusengo, popularly known as “Mariot,” should visit prophet Madzibaba Chipaga to select the colour of his brand-new Toyota Fortuner GD6 4×4, with white, silver, and gold among the options mentioned.
In addition to the vehicle donation, Chivayo pledged US$20,000 in fuel support and confirmed that US$50,000 in cash bonuses for players would be released once the bus arrives in Zimbabwe.
“Makorokoto DeMbare,” Chivayo wrote while congratulating the club in a mixture of English and Shona.
The developments come as Dynamos continue rebuilding under head coach Genesis Mangombe, with the Harare giants looking to restore their dominance after several inconsistent seasons.

The announcement triggered widespread celebration among Dynamos supporters, many of whom described the luxury coach as one of the biggest off-field boosts the club has received in years.
Transport challenges remain one of the biggest operational headaches for Zimbabwean football clubs, with many teams struggling to fund travel logistics, accommodation, and player welfare amid shrinking sponsorships and rising costs.
Chivayo has increasingly emerged as one of the country’s most visible football benefactors.
Previously, he also bought a bus for Highlanders FC, Dynamos’ biggest rivals, sparking huge debate across Zimbabwe’s football landscape.

Beyond football, Chivayo has made headlines for gifting vehicles, houses, and cash to musicians, church leaders, media personalities, and public figures.
While supporters praise the donations as lifelines for struggling institutions, critics argue that Zimbabwean football risks becoming overly dependent on wealthy individuals instead of developing sustainable commercial and sponsorship structures.
Still, for Dynamos fans, the latest developments were largely viewed as a major statement of ambition and support for one of Zimbabwe’s most decorated football clubs.
Delivery timelines for the luxury Marcopolo coach had not yet been officially confirmed by the time of publication.
