This morning, much of the country experienced mostly sunny and mild conditions, with western areas of Matabeleland North and Matabeleland South standing out as exceptions, as clouds from Botswana moved in. As the day progressed, these western provinces became warm and cloudy, with isolated thundershowers. Authorities remind residents: “When thunder roars, go indoors.”
Tomorrow, Wednesday 25 February, the forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies and warm conditions across Matabeleland North, Matabeleland South, and Bulawayo, with isolated downpours in some areas. Midlands and Mashonaland West provinces may also see localized showers, while Harare, Mashonaland East, Mashonaland Central, Masvingo, and Manicaland are expected to experience mild mornings, warming up by afternoon. The MSD advises people to seek shelter during lightning, stay hydrated, and wear sun protection during prolonged outdoor activity.
