The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA), the statutory body ensuring safe, reliable, and sustainable energy supply through effective regulation, is calling for applications from highly competent and results-driven professionals to join its team.
This time, ZERA is seeking a Generation, Transmission and Distribution Engineer, a critical role reporting directly to the Chief Engineer Electricity. The successful candidate will develop sector codes and regulations, monitor compliance, review Power Purchase Agreements, assess generation license applications, investigate electrical accidents, and contribute to renewable energy and energy efficiency initiatives. They will also evaluate capacity expansion plans and lead public workshops to promote safety, clean energy, and industry best practices.

Post: Generation, Transmission and Distribution Engineer
Key Requirements:
- BSc or B-Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in electricity generation, transmission, or distribution.
- Proven technical knowledge of the electricity sector, statutory provisions, and renewable energy technologies.
- Broad understanding of the electricity supply chain and modern energy technologies.
