Job Purpose
ZERA seeks a highly competent and results-oriented professional to lead and coordinate energy efficiency research,
programmes, and regulatory support aimed at promoting sustainable and efficient energy use across Zimbabwe.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate energy efficiency projects and programmes
- Develop energy efficiency codes, standards, and regulations
- Identify and implement pilot energy efficiency projects
- Enforce minimum energy performance standards
- Support energy research and development initiatives
- Evaluate and select research proposals
- Promote energy management systems and best practices
- Educate consumers and licensees on efficient energy use
- Develop awareness campaigns and promotional materials
- Facilitate workshops, seminars, and exhibitions
- Support energy data analytics and reporting
Qualifications and Experience
- BSc Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- At least 5 years’ relevant experience (2 years mid-management level)
- Experience in energy sector or intensive energy use industries
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA)
- Strong project management and research skills
- Data analytics and reporting capability
- Good written and oral communication skills
Added Advantage
Master’s degree in a relevant field
