Flamboyant businessman Wicknell Chivayo has once again made headlines after gifting Walter Magaya Junior a brand-new 2026 Lexus GX550 and US$50,000 cash in what he described as a gesture of honour and support for the young preacher’s growing ministry.

In a celebratory social media post, Chivayo praised Walter Magaya Junior for what he called spiritual maturity, discipline and a remarkable commitment to spreading the Word of God at a young age.
The businessman said he was deeply impressed by Magaya Junior’s conduct during the crossover service from December 31, 2025 into the new year, where the young minister stood in for his father, Prophet Walter Magaya of PHD Ministries.
Chivayo described the sermon as calm, confident and full of “deep revelation”, adding that the young preacher had shown signs of inheriting his father’s prophetic mantle. Chivayo wrote:
“Today, I wish to celebrate a young man who has set himself apart in the Word of God.”
He went on to compare Magaya Junior to the biblical Elisha, saying he had picked up the mantle in the footsteps of his father, much like Elisha followed Elijah.
The gift package includes a luxury 2026 Lexus GX550, reportedly fully paid for and ready for collection at Exquisite Car Dealership, along with US$50,000 which Chivayo said would support church work and the continued growth of PHD Ministries.

Walter Magaya Junior has increasingly gained visibility within the ministry, with recent crusade and prayer service announcements placing him at the centre of church programmes in Zimbabwe and beyond.
The latest gesture adds to Chivayo’s growing reputation for high-profile gifts, having recently made headlines for several luxury vehicle and cash donations across sports, religion and social causes.
For many followers, the moment is being seen as a symbolic endorsement of a rising voice within one of Zimbabwe’s most prominent ministries.
