Job Purpose

ZERA seeks a highly competent and results-oriented professional to lead and coordinate energy efficiency research,
programmes, and regulatory support aimed at promoting sustainable and efficient energy use across Zimbabwe.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate energy efficiency projects and programmes
• Develop energy efficiency codes, standards, and regulations
• Identify and implement pilot energy efficiency projects
• Enforce minimum energy performance standards
• Support energy research and development initiatives
• Evaluate and select research proposals
• Promote energy management systems and best practices
• Educate consumers and licensees on efficient energy use
• Develop awareness campaigns and promotional materials
• Facilitate workshops, seminars, and exhibitions
• Support energy data analytics and reporting

Qualifications and Experience

• BSc Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• At least 5 years’ relevant experience (2 years mid-management level)
• Experience in energy sector or intensive energy use industries
• Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA)
• Strong project management and research skills
• Data analytics and reporting capability
• Good written and oral communication skills

Added Advantage

Master’s degree in a relevant field
