PSG sealed a 2-0 win at Anfield and a dominant 4-0 aggregate triumph, with Ousmane Dembélé scoring twice to silence the home crowd and bring Salah’s Champions League journey with Liverpool to a heartbreaking close.
Salah, who has already announced he will leave Liverpool at the end of the 2025/26 season after nine glittering years, came off the bench in the 32nd minute but could not inspire the comeback Liverpool desperately needed. His departure was confirmed by the club last month, ending one of the most decorated modern eras in Anfield history.
The Egyptian king leaves behind a staggering legacy: 255 goals, multiple domestic titles, a Champions League crown, and legendary status among Liverpool’s all-time greats.
Elsewhere, Barcelona’s bright start through Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres was not enough, as Atlético advanced 3-2 on aggregate. Their goal came from Ademola Lookman. Barcelona finished the match with ten men after Eric Garcia was given marching orders in the 79th minute.
For Liverpool fans, however, the biggest headline is clear: Salah’s unforgettable European chapter in red has officially come to an end.
