Harare was treated to a tense Castle Lager Premier Soccer League derby as Scottland FC and Dynamos FC played out a goalless draw at Rufaro Stadium. It was a match full of intensity, close calls, and moments that could have changed the scoreboard but didn’t.

Scottland FC started on the front foot, controlling possession and asking early questions. Knowledge Musona was at the heart of their attacking threat, striking the woodwork twice in a first half where Dynamos were often pinned back. At times, Scottland looked ready to score, only to be denied by hesitation in the final touch or last-ditch defending.
Dynamos FC, however, showed real resilience under pressure. Goalkeeper Makoni Tatenda stood tall with key saves, while his backline absorbed wave after wave of Scottland pressure. The visitors gradually grew into the match, breaking up rhythm and slowing Scottland’s attacking flow in midfield.
The second half became more balanced, with both sides battling for control rather than clear dominance. Tackles intensified, spaces closed up, and attacking opportunities became harder to create. Scottland still looked the more likely to score, but Dynamos defended with discipline and structure.
Late drama arrived when Scottland believed they had finally scored, only for the assistant referee’s flag to cut short celebrations due to offside. That moment summed up their night, so close, yet still goalless.
In the end, both teams walk away with a point. Scottland will reflect on missed chances, while Dynamos will be satisfied with a hard-earned clean sheet ‘away from home.’
