Warriors Head Coach Marian Mario Marinica was in the stands in Scotland, witnessing Tawanda Maswanhise’s latest masterclass as Motherwell crushed Kilmarnock 4-0. Maswanhise scored the second goal, cementing his reputation as Zimbabwe’s rising star in European football.
Zifa confirmed:
“Warriors Head Coach Marian Marinica caught up with Zimbabwe and Warriors forward Tawanda Maswanhise in Scotland, watching proudly from the stands as Maswanhise found the net once again in Motherwell’s emphatic 4–0 win over Kilmarnock. The two shared a moment after the final whistle, a simple but powerful reminder that the Warriors family is connected, wherever our players are competing.”

The irony? Marinica once questioned Maswanhise’s “fire in his belly,” limiting him to a cameo against Egypt, benching him against Angola, and only starting him against South Africa, where Maswanhise was directly involved in both goals, earning an AFCON 2025 promising talent nomination.
Now, with a first-hand view, Marinica has no excuses. Maswanhise has arrived, and the Warriors coach has seen exactly what Zimbabwe has been raving about.
