HARARE – Zimbabwean comedian and musician Frets Donzvo, born Libtery Donzvo, has become the latest local entertainer to receive a lavish gift from polarising businessman Wicknell Chivayo, who rewarded him with a brand-new 2026 Toyota Fortuner GD6 2.4D and US$10,000 in cash.
Chivayo, who has gained attention in recent years for handing out luxury vehicles and cash to musicians, actors, sports personalities and church leaders, announced the gift on Friday in a heartfelt social media post praising Frets’s talent and consistency.
The businessman said the comedian had become part of his daily routine because of the joy his comedy brings.
“Today I want to give FLOWERS to one of Zimbabwe’s finest comedians, FRETS DONZVO. My brother, your talent is simply OUTSTANDING. From the way you dress, your facial expressions, your body language, your timing, and the way you deliver every single skit, munhu anototanga kuseka from the very first second. Before you even speak, you have already put smiles on our faces.“
Chivayo revealed that he regularly watches Frets’s comedy videos every morning before starting his day.
“The truth is, almost every morning when I wake up, I find myself looking for your pages just to have a good laugh before I start my day. Your skits have become part of my daily routine because they lift my spirit and remind me that laughter is one of God’s greatest medicines.”
As a token of appreciation, Chivayo instructed Frets to collect the new vehicle and cash on Monday.
“Congratulations to you. Please go and see Madzibaba Chipaga on Monday and collect a brand-new 2026 Toyota Fortuner GD6 2.4D. You will also get US$10,000 cash for fuel. You have earned my respect through consistency, originality, and hard work.”

Frets Donzvo has steadily built a loyal following through his humorous skits, relatable storytelling and energetic performances across social media platforms.
