Kwekwe United have made a statement of intent ahead of the 2026 Central Region Soccer League campaign, appointing respected sports administrator Violet Jubane as the club’s new Administrator.

In a statement seen by ZiGoats, the Midlands miners confirmed:

“Kwekwe United is pleased to welcome Violet Jubane to the club as our new Administrator.

Her appointment strengthens our operational structure as we prepare for a focused and well-organised 2026 Central Region Soccer League campaign. We are confident that her professionalism and dedication will add significant value to the club’s administration.

Welcome to the family, Violet.

For a club rebuilding ambition and structure, this is more than just an office appointment. It is a strategic move.

ZiGoats.com reached out to the Mberengwa-born administrator for her reaction and to gain deeper insight into what the appointment means for both her and Kwekwe United. Responding to our enquiry, Jubane said:

I feel honoured to be considered for this opportunity because, despite having relevant qualifications and experience in the sports industry, it is often difficult for women to be considered for such roles. This is an opportunity I do not take for granted. It also presents a valuable platform to deepen my hands-on experience in club management and operations, an area I am deliberately strengthening as I continue to grow within the game.

WHO IS VIOLET JUBANE?

In Zimbabwean football spaces, Violet Jubane’s name carries growing respect, not because she seeks headlines, but because she understands systems.

She is the founder of Sports Redeem, an initiative focused on transforming sport through leadership development, governance conversations and innovation. Through that platform, she has positioned herself at the intersection of sport, education and structured growth.

Jubane is a Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders (YALI) Fellow, a prestigious leadership programme that identifies Africa’s emerging changemakers. Her exposure through YALI broadened her footprint beyond Zimbabwe, connecting her with continental and global networks.

Most notably, she is a FIFA Master’s alumna, part of one of the most respected postgraduate sports management programmes in the world. The FIFA Master has produced executives who now serve within FIFA, UEFA, elite European clubs and global sporting institutions.

Violet is also the COSAFA Women Football Consultant, supporting the regional association in promoting women football development.

Recently, she added a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property to her academic portfolio, a qualification that fits perfectly into modern football’s commercial reality, where branding, broadcasting rights, player image rights and sponsorship contracts define sustainability.

WHY HER APPOINTMENT MATTERS

Zimbabwean football has often struggled not because of talent on the pitch, but because of weaknesses off it. Administration, compliance, governance and commercial planning are the pillars that sustain clubs. Kwekwe United’s decision signals that they understand this.

Bringing in someone with international exposure, governance training and innovation experience strengthens the club’s backbone. Administrators do not score goals, but they create the environment where goals can be scored. For a Central Region side aiming to organise, compete and grow, structure is everything. Jubane’s journey, from founding Sports Redeem to global football classrooms and leadership forums, suggests she brings more than paperwork. She brings systems thinking. And in today’s game, that is gold.

As Kwekwe United prepare for 2026, the message is clear, the miners are not only digging for points, they are building foundations.

Welcome to Kwekwe, Violet.
