Brentford came from behind twice to draw 2-2 with Crystal Palace in a Premier League match at the Gtech Community Stadium on Sunday, with Dango Ouattara scoring twice in a game that swung back and forth across 90 minutes and added time.

By Sports Reporter Norman Mwale

Crystal Palace took the lead in the 5th minute when Ismaïla Sarr converted a penalty after Brentford were penalised following a VAR review.

Brentford responded and equalised in the 39th minute through Ouattara, who finished from close range to level the match.

Crystal Palace regained the lead in the 51st minute when Adam Wharton scored from open play to make it 2-1.

Brentford equalised again in the 87th minute when Ouattara headed in his second goal of the match from a Sepp van den Berg assist.

Ten minutes of added time were played, with both sides pushing for a winner, but neither team scored again as the match ended level.

The result leaves Brentford and Crystal Palace closely matched in mid-table, with both sides showing attacking quality but also missing chances to secure all three points.

For Brentford, Ouattara’s double will be the main talking point after he responded twice to Palace leads, while the visitors will reflect on letting advantage slip on two occasions.
