The heartfelt response comes just hours after Chivayo made headlines on Workers’ Day by gifting the Afro-fusion star a brand new Toyota Fortuner 2.4 GD6, praising her for promoting African culture through music, fashion, and business.
In a moving message, Feli Nandi did not hold back her emotions. The Mubayei hit maker said:
“Handina mashoko anokwana eku tenda. Ndiri kudzamirwa nemufaro… I am truly overwhelmed with gratitude. Words feel too small to fully express what is in my heart right now.
She described the gesture as more than just material support, saying it represents belief in her journey and purpose.
“What you have done goes far beyond a gift. You have poured belief into the journey… it has strengthened me, revived my spirit, and given my entire team renewed energy.”
The singer, born Felistus Winnie Chipendo, said the recognition has pushed her to work even harder, not just for herself, but for Zimbabwean culture and her growing fan base.
“Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for supporting the arts. Thank you for uplifting African culture.”
Her response has struck a chord with fans online, many praising her humility and authenticity, while others highlighted the importance of investing in local creatives who carry Zimbabwe’s cultural identity on global stages.
The exchange between Chivayo and Feli Nandi has quickly become one of the biggest entertainment stories in Zimbabwe this week, a rare blend of generosity, gratitude, and cultural pride.
As the buzz continues, one thing is clear: this moment is bigger than a gift, it’s a powerful statement about the value of art, recognition, and the people shaping Zimbabwe’s creative future.
