Zimbabwe national senior football team, the Warriors, is gearing up for its next matches at the Botswana 4 Nations Tournament, scheduled from 23–31 March 2026 at Obed Itani Chilume Stadium. The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) confirmed the Warriors’ participation in a statement seen by ZiGoats.com. The association said:
“THE WARRIORS RETURN… The Football Associations of Zimbabwe, Botswana, Malawi and Zambia are pleased to confirm the participation of their respective Senior Men’s National Teams.”
The tournament offers a chance to build on lessons from AFCON 2025, where Zimbabwe exited at the group stage following a 2-1 loss to Egypt, a 1-1 draw with Angola, and a 3-2 defeat to South Africa. Zimbabwe scored four goals across these three matches, showcasing glimpses of attacking flair under coach Marian Mario Marinica.
Positives include the hunger and promise of young talents like Tawanda Maswanhise, who won the CAF Most Promising Player award at AFCON, Tawanda Chirewa, Bill Antonio, Daniel Msendami, Emmanuel Jalai, Jonah Fabisch, and Prince Dube. With veterans such as Jordan Zemura, Marshall Munetsi, Andy Rinomhota, and Tino Kadewere now fit, the Warriors can field a stronger side.

Some players, including Brendan Galloway (post-hernia), Tawanda Chirewa, Sean Fusire, Marvelous Nakamba, and Divine Lunga, remain doubtful for the upcoming Zimbabwe Warriors matches due to injuries or limited club minutes.
Analysts say this tournament is crucial for testing youth, building chemistry, and strengthening Zimbabwe’s attack while addressing defensive weaknesses, steps that could make the Warriors a formidable regional force in the coming months.
