South African side AmaZulu FC have officially confirmed the signing of Zimbabwean midfielder Mason Mushore from Highlanders FC, marking a key addition to their squad ahead of the upcoming season.
The 24-year-old defensive midfielder is expected to bring composure, ball control, and solidity to AmaZulu’s midfield, providing valuable depth under coach Arthur Zwane. He will wear number 24.Mushore will also join fellow Zimbabwean Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya, who moved to the club from FC Platinum in 2025.
Club president Sandile Zungu expressed confidence that Mushore will settle in seamlessly.
“We welcome Mason to the AmaZulu family and are confident that he will add value and prove himself in our midfield,” Zungu said.
Mushore, who has impressed in the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League with Highlanders, shared his excitement about the move:
“I am grateful for the warm welcome I have already received. Today, Mr Zungu personally welcomed me and told me that he believes in me and wants me to fight for the team,” Mushore said.
Highlanders FC officially confirmed the transfer on December 30, 2025, stating that the move to AmaZulu FC is permanent and effective from 1 January 2026.
“We are immensely grateful to Mason for his commitment, passion, and outstanding contributions during his time with us. Thank you for the memories. We wish you nothing but the very best as you embark on this exciting new chapter of your career,” Highlanders said in a statement.

With Mushore’s arrival, AmaZulu strengthen their midfield options while continuing to build a strong Zimbabwean presence at the club, following the successful integration of Ngwenya.
