CAPS United has officially inducted a fresh batch of players ahead of the 2026 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season, signaling a serious shake-up for the club that has been everyone’s punching bag in recent years.

The induction event was part pep talk, part rallying call. Club president Hon Farai Jere made it clear to the newcomers:

“You don’t need to be at CAPS United for 10+ years to be a legend. In 2 years, make history, achieve, and go further.”

Players were urged to give their all, break boundaries, and achieve results that will be remembered by fans and the league alike. Former midfielder Pardon Chivasa, along with key speakers Robson Sharuko, Charles Mabik, and goalkeeper George Mudiwa, inspired the squad during midday sessions.

Achieve your best results together so that you will be remembered,” said Chivasa, emphasizing teamwork and commitment.

New Blood, Strong Ambitions

CAPS United’s technical department has been busy behind the scenes, assembling what the club promises will be a crème de la crème 2026 squad. While all new signings are yet to be officially unveiled, some of the players already signed include seven stars from Ngezi Platinum Stars, who followed new coach Takesure Chiragwi to Harare:

  1. Obriel Chirinda
  2. Kudzai Chigwida
  3. Nyasha Gurende
  4. Delic Murimba
  5. McDonald Makuwe
  6. Richard Hachiro
  7. Talent Chamboko

The new additions and returning squad members are being prepared for a season where CAPS United refuses to be the easy target anymore.

Fireworks Ahead

The club is promising a new script for 2026, confidently declaring “KweteGoreRino” (Not this year). With coach Deco at the helm, CAPS aims to compete fiercely in the league, eyeing all 3 points every matchday.

Fans can expect a mix of youthful energy, experience, and tactical firepower, with the new squad set to bring excitement, resilience, and perhaps even a surprise or two. Harare’s faded giants are preparing to reclaim their respect and make 2026 a season to remember.

“We’re preparing to compete. Pachamhanywa, 3pm, and 3 points,” Makepekepe declared, signaling a determined start to the new campaign.
