Zimbabwean football icon Peter Ndlovu jas joined Scottland FC in Zimbabwe making a stunning return to local football, not as a player, but as team manager of reigning Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions. Reports from multiple Zimbabwe outlets indicate that negotiations between Ndlovu and the Harare‑based side began as early as November 2025 as part of the champions’ strategy to build lasting success.
Scottland FC secretary‑general Fortune Bgwoni told local media from South Africa that the club would confirm the appointment only when all paperwork is complete.
“When that happens (appointment of Peter Ndlovu) we will let the world know,” he said, offering cautious optimism.
The move marks a high‑profile homecoming for Ndlovu, one of Zimbabwe’s most celebrated football figures. The former Warriors captain played more than 500 club games in Europe and Africa, including stints at Coventry City, Birmingham City and Mamelodi Sundowns, where he later served as team manager.
Club benefactor Wicknell Chivayo, has already announced the move. He said:

Supporters believe Ndlovu’s leadership and continental experience could enhance Scottland’s ambitions both domestically and in Africa’s premier club competitions. However, until the club formally announces the appointment, the story remains confirmed but unofficial, with fans and pundits alike watching closely for the next move in one of Zimbabwe’s most captivating football sagas.
