Zimbabweans living in KwaZulu-Natal have been urged to prepare for a major mobile consular outreach set for 27 to 29 March 2026 in Durban.
In a Public Notice dated 26 February 2026, the Consulate of the Republic of Zimbabwe in Johannesburg announced it will conduct a Mobile Consular Exercise at the Durban Jewish Club, 44 KE Masinga Road, North Beach, Durban, between 27 and 29 March from 0900hrs and 1500hrs daily.
“The Consulate wishes to inform Zimbabwe nationals resident in Kwa-Zulu Natal Province of a Consular visit to Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal Province from 27 to 29 March 2026.”
Services on Offer During the Zimbabwe Consulate Durban Mobile Consular Exercise March 2026
- Birth certificate registration – R100
- Passport application form processing – R300
- Temporary Travel Documents (TTDs) – R500
- Verification of Zimbabwe-issued documents (Birth certificates, national IDs, Driver’s licence etc) – R200
- Non-marriage certificate application – R200 application and R250 verification
- Section 5 – R150
The Consulate clarified:
“Please note that this consular exercise will be carried out using the old passport application system of issuing passport application forms wherein members of the public will submit the forms and collect the passport after production in Zimbabwe.”
Community Urged to Regularise Documents
“The Consulate urges the Zimbabwean community in Kwa-Zulu Natal Province to take advantage of this mobile consular exercise to regularise their identity documents.”
Authorities also warned that the Zimbabwe Embassy in Pretoria and the two Consulates, Zimbabwe Consulate in Johannesburg and the Zimbabwe Consulate in Cape Town, do not have agents who act on their behalf.
