Asanda Ndlovu, a two-year-old girl who was reported missing in Bulawayo on 17 February 2026, was found safe on Thursday 19 February 2026. She went missing from Meikles Mall with CCTV footage showing a man carrying the toddler out of the mall, sparking alarm across the city.
Two days later, on February 19, a woman who had reviewed clearer footage with mall security, spotted Asanda at a nearby flat. Police quickly raided the location and rescued the child unharmed. A woman protesting at the scene was arrested as authorities continue to investigate the man from the mall video and the motive behind the incident.
